Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to issue the petitioner a letter of allotment for appointment as Assistant Statistical Investigator and consequently to direct the second respondent to appoint the petitioner as Assistant Statistical Investigator in the Department of Economics and Statistics based on the Allotment letter of the first respondent.

This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to issue the petitioner a letter of allotment for appointment as Assistant Statistical Investigator and consequently to direct the second respondent to appoint the petitioner as Assistant Statistical Investigator in the Department of Economics and Statistics based on the Allotment letter of the first respondent.

2.Today when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the second respondent would submit that the respondents had already granted the relief sought for by the petitioner and as such, nothing survives for adjudication.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the second respondent, this Writ Petition is closed.
