ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned Punishment Order dated 15.05.2015 passed by the 3rd Respondent under Rule 17b of the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1955. By the impugned Punishment Order dated 15.05.2015, the Petitioner was removed from service.

2. The Petitioner has filed copy of the appeal dated 26.05.2015 filed before the 2nd respondent against the impugned Punishment Order of the 3rd respondent.

3. Since the Petitioner has preferred an alternate remedy, this Writ Petition ought not to have been entertained. Hence, this Writ Petition is 2/4

liable to be dismissed. However, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to dispose of the said appeal dated 26.05.2015 preferred by the Petitioner against the impugned Punishment Order of the 3rd Respondent.

4. This Writ Petition stands dismissed with the above observations. No costs. Consequently, connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
