The instant writ petition has been filed, directing the 2nd respondent to pass order on the representation dated 25.04.2024 seeking extension and grant of arrears of salary for the period between 14.05.2014 and 26.10.2017 and other accrued monetary and service benefits arising thereto pursuant to the proceedings of theManaging Director, Tamil Nadu Cooperative Union in Na.Ka.No.2766/2014/D1 dated 22.04.2019 and the consequential order of the Additional Registrar/Managing Director of the Union vide Na.Ka.No.0034/2001/A dated 25.02.2022 on merits and as per law.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was under suspension from 14.05.2014 to 26.10.2017. His suspension was subsequently revoked, and he rejoined service. However, the period of suspension has not yet been regularized. The petitioner further submits that the 1st respondent had already forwarded a recommendation to the 2nd respondent to treat the suspension period from 14.05.2014 to 26.10.2017 as duty. However, the 2nd respondent has not taken any action since 2022.

3. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that they will pass order within a reasonable time.

In view of the above submissions, without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to pass order based on the recommendation of the 1st respondent dated 25.02.2022, according to its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
