Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to release the Power of Attorney document executed by the second respondent in favour of the petitioner on 04.12.2014 pending as Document No.P.186 on the file of the first respondent within stipulated time.

By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the second respondent is the absolute owner of the property in S.Nos.15/5, 15/10B, 15/11, 13/1A1, 14/2A and 2/5 situated at Podavur Village and for the purpose of developing the property, the second respondent has executed a Power of Attorney in favour of the petitioner on 04.12.2014 and the petitioner also presented the same for registration and it is kept pending as Doc.No.186/2014. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though the said Power of Attorney has been registered, it has not been returned and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. This Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances, directs the first respondent to pass orders on the pending Doc.No.186/2014 (Power of Attorney) in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
