Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of certiorari calling for the concerned records relating to the Charge Memo No.3332/A1/2000 dated 12.6.2000 and consequential proceedings passed by the 2nd respondent and quash the same.

ORDER

Though the prayer in the writ petition is to quash the charge memo dated 12.6.2000, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a direction could be issued to complete the disciplinary proceedings within a stipulated period.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the disciplinary proceedings is pending for the past 15 years.

3. As rightly pointed out by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the disciplinary proceedings cannot be kept pending that too for such a long period. The learned counsel for the petitioner sought for a limited prayer to conduct enquiry and pass final orders within a stipulated period.

4. Hence, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to conclude enquiry and pass final orders within a period of four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs.
