Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 438 of Cr.P.C., to enlarge the petitioner on bail in the event of his arrest in Crime No. 1132 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Gudiyatham Town Police Station, Vellore District, pending investigation.

ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Section 363 of IPC @ into 363, 147, 342, 323, 386 and 506(i) of IPC in Crime No.1132 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. When the matter came up for today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the anticipatory bail application of the co-accused was dismissed on 12.08.2020 in Crl.O.P.No. 12096 of 2020 and the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is very much required since he is the person, who had taken the victim and thereby the identification parade has been conducted.

3. Taking into consideration of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and in view of the fact that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
