Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to provide written order to the petitioner for rejecting petitioner's nomination application dated 20.03.2024 for Madurai Parliamentary Election 2024.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.C.Prabhu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Niranjan Rajagopalan, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

2. The petitioner is seeking directions against the second respondent to provide a copy of the written order, rejecting the nomination filed by the petitioner.

3. The nomination of the petitioner has been rejected long back and now, the polling is scheduled on 19.04.2024. The petitioner also did not circulate the matter earlier.

4. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner may approach the District Collector for the copy of the written order, rejecting the nomination of the petitioner and the petitioner would be provided with the same.

5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, the writ petition, as such, stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.) (J.S.N.P., J.) 17.04.2024 Index :
