[ RESPONDENTS ] Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of mandamus to forbear the respondents from installing motor pump set and from putting up any borewell at S.No.317, Kothamangalam Village, Katpadi Taluk, Vellore District.

O R D E R

Heard Mr.M.Sivavarthanan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner & Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents and with the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for issuance of a writ of mandamus to forbear the respondents from installing motor pump set and from putting up any bore well at S.No.317, Kothamangalam Village, Katpadi Taluk, Vellore District.

3.At the time when the Writ Petition was entertained, an interim order of status quo, was granted and the same is in force till date. Since the dispute is with regard to the digging of a bore well, the District Collector namely the first respondent shall look into the grievance, and after issuing notice to the petitioner and the third respondent, shall pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, Till then, the status quo which is prevailing, shall be maintained.
