J U D G M E N T
(Judgment of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) Challenge in this appeal is to the order of the Writ Court made in W.P.No.22060 of 2023 dated 27.07.2023.

The issue raised is squarely covered by the judgment of the Division Bench of this Court in W.A.Nos.3809 & 3816 of 2024 and 14 of 2025 dated 18.02.2025, in which one of us (R.Subramanian, J.) is a party. In and by the said judgment, we had upheld the conclusion of the writ court to the effect that the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Schedules Tribes would be entitled to the benefits of the proviso to sub-section (8) of Section 20 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016. Dehors the fact that the upper age limit for them is higher than the upper limit prescribed for others. 3.
In view of the same, this Writ Appeal is dismissed. Eight (8) weeks time is granted to the appellants to comply with the orders issued by 2/4
