Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 12.3.2021 with regard to issuance of patta bearing S.No. 387/1 situated at Tambaram Village, Tambaram Taluk, Chengalpet District. (The case has been heard through video conference) This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the 2nd respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2021 with regard to issuance of Patta bearing Survey No.387/1.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, he has purchased the property to an extent of 5818 sq.ft. in Survey No.387/1 situated at Tambaram Village, Tambaram Taluk, Chenglepet District, on 15.02.2007 and since then, he is in possession and enjoyment of the property and he is also paying necessary tax. Subsequently, the petitioner has filed an application before the 2nd respondent Tahsildar seeking to grant https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

patta on 12.03.2021. But, so far, his application was not considered and no order has been passed on it. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent Tahsildar is directed to consider the petitioner's application and pass suitable orders on merits in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
