Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other order or direction in the nature of writ directing the respondents 1 and 2 to pass appropriate order to release the payment of Rs.1,37,000/- which was with held from petitioners gratuity together with interest at the rate of 12% from 29.02.2012 till the date of realization.

O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to pass appropriate orders in respect of payment of gratuity to the writ petitioner and the representation was submitted on 15.02.2016.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner made a submission that the writ petitioner was working as Deputy Block Development Officer and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. However, the gratuity amount due to the writ petitioner has not been settled so far and in this regard, the writ petitioner has already submitted a representation to the second respondent on 15.02.2016 and the same is yet to be considered.

Thus, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 15.02.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
