The prayer sought for herein is as follows, "To enlarge or extend the time by a further period of eight weeks (ie., eight weeks from 21/04/2019) for the Honourable Arbitrator for conducting the arbitration and to make the award."

According to the learned counsel for the applicant, the mandate of the arbitral tribunal expired on 21.04.2019, within which time, the arguments have been completed and the orders have been reserved to pass the award, and in order to enable the arbitrator to pass the final award, reasonable extension of time can be granted.

5. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

6. The period for arbitral award is extended for a further period of three months from 22.04.2019, within which it is expected that the final award would be passed by the arbitral tribunal. Accordingly, this application is disposed of.
