O R D E R

The present petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register a case based on the complaint of the petitioner dated 26.07.2015.

2. In the petition it has been stated that on 26.07.2015, when the petitioner went to her brother's house at Tiruppur, one Banu, Parveen, Sabi and Arshya Sulthana threatened her and also beaten her with wooden log. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the 1st and 2nd respondents on the same day. Since no action was taken on the said complaint, the present petition has been filed.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that earlier the petitioner gave a complaint on 26.07.2015 and subsequently, on 08.09.2015, the petitioner gave another complaint with same set of allegations and C.S.R.No.525 of 2015 has been assigned to the said complaint and the matter is pending enquiry.

Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court is of the opinion that it is appropriate to direct the respondent to conduct an enquiry on the complaint dated 26.07.2015 given by the petitioner, if enquiry was not conducted so far and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, the respondent is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.
