O R D E R

This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings initiated in M.C.No.73 of 2014 on the file of the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai.

2.The 4th petitioner and the respondent/defacto complainant are present before this Court. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned counsel appearing for the respondent filed a memo of compromise stating that the matter has been settled.

3.Considering the memo of compromise, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the matter pending. Therefore, the entire proceedings in M.C.No.73 of 2014 on the file of the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, in respect of the petitioners, is hereby quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is allowed accordingly. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed. The Memorandum of compromise shall form part of the order of this Court.
