Prayer: Writ Petition , filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents not to open a TASMAC shop or bar in the proposed building, which is under construction and located at 450 meters away from T.S.Narayanaswami College, and further not to open any TASMAC Shop in the nearby vicinity which is a residential area on the Navalur - Thalambur Road, Kancheepuram District. O R D E R

(Order of the Court was delivered by T.S.Sivagnanam, J.,) This Writ Petition has been filed as a Public Interest Litigation to restrain the respondents from opening a TASMAC Retail Vending Shop. 2.

The learned Standing Counsel for the respondent/TASMAC submitted that, though there was such proposal, it has been dropped.

Recording the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with the observation that the respondents shall not open a Shop in the said location as undertaken by them. No costs.
