Respondents Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to survey the petitioner's land bearing survey No.51/11, situated at Sirunaampoondi Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District and sub-divide the petitioner's property and issue a separate patta in favour of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 26.03.2015 made to the 1st respondent.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the successor of the landed property admeasuring 0.18 cents in S.No.51/11, Sirunaampoondi Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District, purchased by his grandfather,Kannaiya.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that in patta No.347, which pertains to the above said property, the name of the second respondent has been wrongly included. In this regard, he submitted a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

representation dated 26.03.2015 to the first respondent and since he is not favoured with any response, he has come forward with this writ petition.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent.

5. Though the petitioner has prayed for larger relief, this Court, in the light of facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.03.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice to the second respondent and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as the second respondent.
