PRAYER : Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 17.05.2017 regarding the correction of father's name as Palanisamy, instead of wrongly mentioned as Subramani in the school Transfer Certificate of petitioner's daughter Jeeva who has completed SSLC in the sixth respondent school.

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider his representation dated 17.05.2017 regarding the correction of father's name as Palanisamy, instead of Subramani in the School Certificate of his daughter Jeeva, who has completed S.S.L.C in the 6th respondent-School.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was residing in Indra Nagar, Puliankurichi Post, Gengavalli Taluk, Salem District. He was married to one Mrs.Paappathi and out of their wedlock, they had two children, namely, Jeeva and Kavipravanavan. His daughter Jeeva, aged about 16 years, had studied from 1st standard to 5th standard in Government High School, Mangalore, Salem District, 6th and 7th standard in Government High Scool, Pattinam Village, Rasipuram Taluk, Namakkal District and 8th to 10th standard in
Government High School at Puliankurichi Post, Gengavalli Taluk,
3. It is the further case of the petitioner that at the time of his daughter's admission to 1st standard, he worked as farm worker in some other District. Since he was not available at that time, his relative Subramani had arranged for her daughter's admission. Duing admission, while filling up the application form, the said Subramani has wrongly mentioned his name instead of the petitioner's name. Upto the completion of S.S.L.C, in the place of the father's name, it has wrongly been mentioned as Subramani. After completing 10th standard, the petitioner had attempted to join his daughter in +1, admission was refused by various Schools for the reason that in the coloumn relating to the father's name, it is wrongly mentioned as Subramani.
Since his daughter had completed 10th standard in the month of March 2016, she was not able to continue her further education. The petitioner had also produced all the relevant documents like birth certificate of his daughter, family card and the nativity certificate issued by the Village Administrative Officer. In this regard, the petitioner sent a detailed representation to all the respondents on 17.05.
petitioner's daughter Jeeva who has completed SSLC in the sixth respondent school. Since no action was forthcoming, the petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition for the above relief.
4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, this Court, without going into merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law and dispose of the representation given by the petitioner on 17.05.2017, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to produce the relevant records available with him for the said purpose.
