Prayer: Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking to direct the 1st respondent to produce the body of the petitioner's daughter D.Ragavi aged about 23 years respectively before this Hon'ble Court, from the illegal custody of the send respondent and set her at liberty.

Earlier the petitioner herein filed a Habeas Corpus Petition for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the 1st respondent to produce the body of the petitioner's daughter D.Raghavi, before this Court, from the illegal custody of the 2nd respondent and to set her at liberty.

2. Initially, when the matter came up before the Division Bench of this Court for admission, considering the other circumstances, directed the Registry to convert this Writ Petition as a Criminal Original Petition and accordingly, after complying with the direction given by the Division Bench of this Court, the Writ Petition was converted into this Criminal Original Petition and listed before this Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. Today, when the petition came up for hearing, Mr.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent police, on instructions, would submit that upon the complaint given by the petitioner, the respondent police registered a case for 'woman missing' in Crime No.127 of 2019 and thereafter, on the next day itself, the missing girl has been secured and sent back to the parents. Subsequently, the FIR registered by the respondent police has been closed and as of now, no such FIR with Cr.No.127 of 2019 is pending.

4. Recording the said submission, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
