ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to transfer the investigation made in Crime No.97 of 2022 from the 2nd respondent to 3rd respondent or some other agency.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, on 11.11.2022, petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondent police stating that, about 10 sovereigns of gold jewels were stolen from the petitioner's house. He further submitted that, though FIR was registered on same day ie., on 11.11.2022, till now, no proper enquiry was conducted and no one in and around the petitioner's house, especially the persons pointed out by the petitioner had not been enquired by the respondent police. Therefore, this petition.
3. In response, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that, respondent police is conducting investigation and they have examined eight persons. He further submitted that, investigation is still in progress, once accused is fixed, effective steps will be taken to arrest the accused.
4. In view of the submission of the learned counsels appearing for both the parties, this Court directs the respondent to conduct proper investigation and make all the efforts to arrest the accused and recover the stolen jewels and proceed further in accordance with law. Final report has to be filed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
5. With the above observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
