Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate order or direction in the nature of writ directing the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 14.06.2017.

The father of the writ petitioner was working in the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and passed away on 10.02.2015, while he was in service. The writ petitioner preferred an application seeking compassionate appointment to the third respondent on 14.06.2017.

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner states that the family of the writ petitioner is in indigent circumstances and the father of the writ petitioner alone was the bread winner of the family. Thus, the writ petitioner should be appointed on compassionate ground under the scheme. Though the application was submitted by the writ petitioner on 14.06.2017, the writ petitioner has not received any information from the third respondent and the family is struggling on account of sudden demise of the father of the writ petitioner. 3.

In this view of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the application submitted by the writ petitioner seeking compassionate appointment on 14.06.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
