Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to issue appropriate directions to the 1st respondent herein to grant relaxation of upper age limit to the petitioner in terms of G.O. Ms.No.21, Labour and Employement (No.2) Department dated 2.2.2000 and to direct the 5th Respondent to appoint the petitioner as Village Assistant in any one of the existing Vacancies or next arising vacancies in Uthukottai Taluk at Tiruvallur District and grant all consequential benefits.

Though the prayer sought in this writ petition is to issue a direction to the first respondent to grant relaxation of upper age limit to the petitioner and to the 5th Respondent to appoint the petitioner as Village Assistant in any one of the existing Vacancies, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2020.

3. Having regard to the limited scope of prayer that is now sought before this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2020, and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
