This petition is filed to direct the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Saidapet, Chennai herein to expedite the trial in CC No. 1758 of 2018 on the file of the Inspector of Police, R-5, Virugambakkam Police Station, Chennai within stipulated period.

2. Since the case is of the year 2017, it would not be appropriate for this Court to fix up time limit for the completion of the proceedings. Nevertheless, since the petitioner herein complaints that the accused are deliberately protracting the proceedings, there shall be a direction to the learned XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai to expedite the trial and complete the same as expeditiously as possible.
