(4) of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004, within a time limit that may be stipulated by this Court. For Petitioner : M/s.B.K.Girish Neelakantan For Respondent : Mr.P.Gunaraj, Standing Counsel.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to provide service connection to the Bunk shop that is run by the petitioner in the subject property.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has been allotted a bunk shop by the Tamil Nadu Khadi and Village Industries Board and he is running the bunk shop from the year 2014 onwards. The petitioner has submitted necessary documents to prove that he is running the bunk shop in the concerned place after getting the authorization of the Tamil Nadu Khadi and Village Industries Board.

The petitioner made a representation to the respondents seeking for electricity connection and the petitioner also submitted the indemnity bond and also the relevant certificates from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. The grievance of the petitioner is that the representation has not been considered. 3.Heard Mr.B.K.Girish Neelakantan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.P.Gunaraj, learned standing counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the application submitted by the petitioner seeking for electricity connection.

The second respondent shall ensure that the petitioner is running the business after getting proper licence from the concerned authority. On such satisfaction, the second respondent shall consider granting service connection to the petitioner under Tamil Nadu Electricity Distribution Code, 2004, after getting necessary indemnity bond from the petitioner. This process shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
