Respondents PRAYER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relevant to the order in Letter No.9699/F.1/2016-4 dated 24.08.2016 passed by the 1st respondent and quash the same has illegal improper unreasonable arbitrary and against the principles of natural justice and thereby direct the respondents to alter the petitioners date of birth as 19.06.1959 instead of 07.08.1958 in all his school and college education certificates and his service register maintained by the respondents department and enable the petitioner to continue his job till completion of his original superannuation age as per his date of birth 19.06.1959 and pay all service benefits towards the same 1/4

The writ petition is filed questioning the validity of the order of rejection dated 24.08.2016 for alteration of date of birth.
2. Even at the time of filing of the writ petition, the petitioner was aged 57 years. It is a settled principles of law that an application seeking alteration of date of birth at the fag end of the service, cannot be considered.
3. In the present case, the petitioner was aged 57 years at the time of filing of the writ petition and retired from service. Now the petitioner would be 62 years and has become a Senior Citizen.
4. This being the factum, this Court wishes the petitioner to lead his retired life peacefully and happily.

5. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs Consequently, the connected Writ Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
