Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records relating to the detention order passed by the second respondent pertaining to the order made in BCDFGISSSV No:19/2021 dated 23.05.2021 in detain the detenue under 2 (F) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982, as a GOONDA and quash the same and direct the respondent to produce the detenue Dhinesh @ Appalam Dhinesh, son of Murali, aged about 26 years, who is detained at Central Prison, Puzhal at Chennai, before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by R.HEMALATHA, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in BCDFGISSSV No.19/2021, dated 23.05.2021, detaining his son as "GOONDA" under Section 3(1) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.2986, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 09.07.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
