ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in CC.No.327 of 2016 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate II at Chengalpattu.

2. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

3. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the trial has been already commenced in CC.No.327 of 2016 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate II at Chengalpattu. So far, three witnesses out of 12 witnesses were examined.

4. In view of the above, this Court finds no grounds to quash the proceedings, since the entire trial has been already commenced. However, the Trial Court is directed to complete the Trial in CC.No.327 of 2016, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
