] These petitions are filed to implead the Government of Tamil Nadu, Water Resources Department, State Ground and Surface Water Resources Data Centre, Chennai - 113, as respondent in the above writ petitions.

2.From the reasons stated in the affidavit filed in support of these petitions, this Court is of the view that the proposed respondent is also a necessary and proper party to the lis. Hence, these petitions are ordered.

3.Registry is directed to carry out the necessary amendment in the cause title.
