Prayer : This Writ Petition has been filed under article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified mandamus calling for the records relating to the R.C.No. A5/2883/2008 dated 8.12.2008 and after quashing the same direct the respondents to settle all the claims of the deceased Thanjammal who died on 13.11.2007 while she was in service as a cook in the Noon Meals Centre in the Panchayat Primary school, Kannigapuram, Talangai Post., Walajah Taluk, Vellore District and also give appointment to either of the petitioners as Legal Heirs of Thanjammal and as demanded in the petitioner legal notices dated 20.08.2008 and 1.12.2008.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is a Writ of Certiorarified mandamus calling for the records relating to the R.C.No. A5/2883/2008 dated 8.12.2008 and after quashing the same direct the respondents to settle all the claims of the deceased Thanjammal who died on 13.11.2007 while she was in service as a cook in the Noon Meals Centre in the Panchayat Primary school, Kannigapuram, Talangai Post., Walajah Taluk, Vellore District and also give appointment to either of the petitioners as Legal Heirs of Thanjammal and as demanded in the petitioner's legal notices dated 20.08.2008 and 1.12.2008.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 31.07.2018, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioners in the morning and in the afternoon and hence the matter was directed to be listed on 01.08.2018 under the caption "for dismissal". Even today i.e 01.08.2018, there is no representation for the petitioners. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed for non prosecution. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
