ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) Challenging the impugned notice of eviction issued under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. As the said order is appealable, we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Since the appeal is statutory in nature, the petitioner is given a further period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to file statutory appeal. Till such time, the status quo as on today shall be maintained.

4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
