Respondent Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider, process and pass orders on the application dated 19.05.2015 submitted by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law for the grant of No Objection Certificate for starting M.Ed. course at the petitioner college viz., Hindusthan College of Education, Coimbatore, from the academic year 2016-2017 within a time frame.

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner would state that it was established in the year 2006 and was recognised by the Southern Regional Committee of the National Council for Teacher Education (SRC - NCTE) vide order dated 28.09.2006, in and by which, the petitioner was permitted to conduct Bachelor of Education Course (B.Ed.,) for the academic year 2006https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2007. It was also affiliated to the respondent University and the affiliation was also granted for the next five academic years vide order dated 15.10.2010 by the respondent. The petitioner would further claim that it was also assessed and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in March, 2013. The petitioner would further state that it intends to start a Post Graduate course in the field of Teacher Education (M.Ed.,) and also created necessary infrastructural and instructional facilities and applied through online to the SRC-NCTE on 29.05.2015 seeking for recommendation to start Master of Education Course from the academic year 2016-2017 and for that purpose, it requires No Objection Certificate from the concerned affiliating body viz., the respondent.

The petitioner, in this regard, has submitted an application dated 19.05.2015 to the respondent and came forward to file this writ petition for early disposal of their application. 3.Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Suresh Kumnar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.U.Venkatesan, learned standing counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 4.This Court, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner in this writ petition and in the light of the facts and circumstances, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the application dated 19.05.2015 submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law and pass orders as expeditiously as possible, preferably, not later than 31.07.2015 and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.

No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
