The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent police to take appropriate action against the accused, complete the investigation and file the final report in Crime No.9 of 2015 within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner herein has lodged a complaint as against her husband Jayaprakash. Based on the said complaint, the first respondent registered a case for the alleged offences under sections 498-A, 294(b) of IPC r/w. under Section 3(1)(4) 4 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

(s) of SC.ST (POA) Act in Crime No.9 of 2015 on 06.03.2015. But till date there is no progress in the investigation of the said case. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and the learned counsel for the petitioner.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the first respondent police is directed to investigate the case in Crime No.9 of 2015 pending on his file and file a final report as early as possible.

The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
