WP No. 18235 of 2026 Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pay the balance amount and EMD, FSD and ASD deposit totaling of Rs.17,80,000/- for the works completed in the year 2018-2019 by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 03.03.2026.

WP No. 18240 of 2026 Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to pay the balance amount Rs.54,96,355/- for the works completed in the year 2018-2019 by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 16.12.2025 and reminder dated 03.03.2026.

Common Order These Writ Petitions have been filed by the petitioner to pay the balance amount for the works completed in the year 2018-2019 by considering the representations of the petitioner.

2. Case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is a registered Class I Contractor and was issued with several works by way of various Work Orders by the respondent. During the year 2018-2019, the petitioner has completed the work of :

in W.P.No.18229 of 2026: providing BT Road from Union Officer back side to Vedapatti Pirivu, strengthening of BT road @ ward no.17, East Neelambur and Ward No.13 Ganesapuram, strengthening of BT road @ ward No.10 Kalukarai and providing BT road Madathukulam Town Panchayat-NABARAD. in W.P.No.18235 of 2026: construction of BT (Formation Road) from Sungiliyapalayam AD Colony Muthanampatti Vaikapalam and laying Thar roads in Kadalaikattupudur.

In W.P.No.18240 of 2026: laying Thar roads in Gandhi Nagar and MGR Nagar for the amount of Rs.99,96,355/-.

It is alleged by the petitioner that after completion of work, only part amount was paid by the respondent and the remaining amount was put in balance and EMD, FSD and ASD amount for the above said works was also not paid. Hence, the petitioner made representations dated 03.03.2026 (in W.P.Nos.18229 and 18235 of 2026) and 16.12.2025 (in W.P.No.18240 of 2026) to the respondent for his balance amount. Since the said representation was not considered, the petitioner is before this Court.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondent is directed to dispose of the representations of the petitioner dated 03.03.2026 (in W.P.Nos.18229 and 18235 of 2026) and 16.12.2025 (in W.P.No.18240 of 2026), on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

5. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

6. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

7. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs

the respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 03.03.2026 (in W.P.Nos.18229 and 18235 of 2026) and 16.12.2025 (in W.P.No.18240 of 2026) and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the above direction, these Writ Petitions are disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
