Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to consider the fixation of scale of pay of the petitioner under Career Advancement Scheme in the cadre of Assistant Professor Stage II from 30.12.2005 and confer all the consequential benefits by considering the representation made by the petitioner dated 11.09.2013.

ORDER
The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for Mandamus to direct the Respondents to consider the fixation of scale of pay of the petitioner under Career Advancement Scheme in the cadre of Assistant Professor Stage II from 30.12.2005 and confer all the consequential benefits by considering the representation made by the petitioner dated 11.09.2013.

2. Though the Petitioner has given a representation on 11.09.2013 and the same is pending without passing any orders by the second respondent/Registrar, Periyar University, Salem-636 011, the petitioner has prayed this Court seeking direction to the Respondents to pass orders on the representation dated 11.09.2013.
3. I Heard the submissions of Mr.P.Ganesan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader for R1 and Mr.P.Godson Swaminath, learned Standing Counsel appearing for R2.
4.Without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.09.2013 by giving personal opportunity to the petitioner and to pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
