COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original petitions have been filed to call for the records relating to Crime Nos.32 & 31 of 2018 on the file of the Inspector of Police, T-6, Avadi Police Station, Chennai and to quash the same.
2. On the complaint lodged by Kothandam, the respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.31 of 2018 on 17.01.2018 under Sections 294 (b), 324 and 506(ii) IPC against Arumugam and Abdul Kadar for quashing which, the accused have filed the Crl.O.P.No.11561 of 2018. Similarly, on the complaint lodged by Arumugam, the respondent Police have registered a counter case in Crime No.32 of 2018 on 17.01.2018 under Sections 294 (b), 324 and 506 (ii) IPC against Kothandam for quashing which, the accused has filed Cr.O.P.No.11481 of 2018.
3. Today, Mr.Raveendran, Sub Inspector of Police, Avadi Police Station is present before this Court. Kothandam, Arumugam and Abdul Kadar are also present and they are identified by M.Raveendran, Sub Inspector of Police. Kothandam and Arumugam have filed individual consent affidavits dated 06.04.2018, wherein they have stated that Arumugam and Kothandam are close relatives and on the intervention of the elders and well wishers, they have amicably settled the matter. Hence, the parties pray to quash the FIRs on the ground that the matter has been amicably compromised.
4. Take into consideration the nature of allegation in both the FIRs and the fact that the parties are close relatives and that they have arrived at an amicable settlement, these quash applications are allowed and the FIRs in T6 Avadi Police Station Crime Nos.31/2018 and 32/2018 are quashed.
