This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to register the complaint dated 29.06.2022 in view of the order dated 15.10.2022 passed by the XIV Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore and to file a final report.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents police submitted that as directed by the XVI Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, an FIR has been registered in Crime No.130 of 2024 for the offence under Section 409 of IPC and the investigation is still pending.
3. In view of the above, the first respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. During the investigation, if any jewels recovered from the accused, they may be returned to the petitioner in accordance with law.
4. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
