Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the Learned Principal District Judge, Villupuram, to dispose off the S.C.No.242 of 2018 pending on its file within a time frame and thereby render justice.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the deceased Advocate had campaigned for his wife Vennila in the recently held Panchayadh Elections and that the accused 1 and 2 have counter campaigned for their candidate against the complainant. The deceased Advocate in the course of his carrying out his advocacy had acted against the accused 1 and 2 in other case registered against them and had fought hard against them in his lawyer capacity and that the accused 1 and 2 having got infuriated against the acts and deeds of the deceased advocate Jaya Prakash Narayanan had threatened the deceased not to act against them and also with dire consequences and death at their https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
hands. Thereafter, the accused persons hatched the plan and got the murder executed on 01.01.2018. Hence, a case has been registered for the offences under Section 147, 148, 341, 302 IPC r/w Section 120 IPC.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the case stands periodically adjourned for engaging the defense lawyer without any basis. Hence prays for appropriate direction. 4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.
5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to direct the learned Principal District Judge, Villupuram to dispose of the case in S.C.No.242 of 2018 pending on its file within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
