This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to act upon the application submitted by the petitioner on 21.02.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for rectification of the extent of the property in the patta that was issued in her name in Patta No.10449.
2. Heard Mr.S.Easkkimuthu, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

In the considered view of this Court, the grievance expressed by the petitioner can be redressed by the second respondent since it only pertains to rectification of the extent of the property, which according to the petitioner has been wrongly mentioned in the patta that was issued in Patta No.10449. In view of the same, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to make a fresh representation before the second respondent along with all the relevant documents. The second respondent shall act upon the same and carry out necessary corrections, if detected. This process shall be completed within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the fresh representation from the petitioner. 2/4
This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
