Prayer .:Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to issue legal heirship certificate to the petitioner based on the representation dated 23.06.2020. For Petitioner :

2. Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue legal heirship certificate to the petitioner based on the representation dated 23.06.2020. 4.The petitioner, claiming to be Class II legal heir of the deceased Ponnusundari, filed an application for legal heirship Certificate before the respondent. It is stated that the said application dated 23.06.2020 has not been disposed of so far.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondent to consider, conduct enquiry and hear all the necessary persons and thereafter, pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law.

Therefore, this Writ Petition is disposed of only with a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.06.2020 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the parties concerned and conducting due enquiry. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
