ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned Government Order issued by the 1st respondent in G.O.MS.No.248 Higher Education (F2) Department dated 08.11.2022 and the subsequent impugned Notification issued by the 3rd respondent in Notification No.04/2025 dated 16.10.2025 issued in supersession of earlier Notification No.02/2024 dated 14.03.2024 and to quash the same.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners initially filed the writ petition challenging the impugned Government Order issued by the 1st respondent in G.O.MS.No.248 Higher Education (F2) Department dated 08.11.2022 and the subsequent impugned Notification issued by the 3rd respondent in Notification No.02/2024 dated 14.03.2024. However, during the pendency of the present writ petition, the 3rd respondent issued another Notification No.04/2025 dated 16.10.2025. Thereafter, the petitioners filed WMP No.53562 of 2025 seeking amendment of the prayer, which was allowed by this Court on 03.02.2026. Challenging the said impugned G.O and the subsequent Notification dated 16.10.2025 issued by the 3rd respondent , the present writ petition has been filed.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the very same impugned Notification No.04/2025 dated 16.10.2025 issued by the 3rd respondent was challenged before the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, in W.P (MD) No.31564 of 2025, and the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, by order dated 19.12.2025, dismissed the said writ petition. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners therein filed W.A (MD) No.89 of 2026 before the Division Bench of Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, and the Division Bench confirmed the order passed by the learned Single Judge vide order dated 02.02.2026.

4.In view of the above, nothing survives for further adjudication in this matter. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 19-02-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order Uma To
