ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 341, 506(ii) of IPC in Crime No.140 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 18.04.2022, when the defacto complainant was going to Kazhuvathondi Village in a car, at the instigation of the petitioner, other accused came there and blocked the car of the defacto complainant. Thereafter, they showed aruval and iron rod and also threatened the defacto complainant. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and no way connected with the alleged offence. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the investigation is not yet completed and if the petitioner is granted anticipatory bail, there is a possibility that he will tamper the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
witnesses and hamper the investigation. He would further submit that the petitioner has nine previous cases and hence he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5. Taking into consideration the allegations and also the bad antecedent of the petitioner and the fact that the case is in the initial stage of the investigation and that the custodial interrogation of the petitioner is essential, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
