O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner seeks recruitment to the post of SubInspector in pursuance to the notification issued on 08.02.2015 under Sports category. The certificates filed by the petitioner show his participation in the event of 'Cross Country'. There https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

is another certificate mentioning his participation in an athletic meet.

2.In so far as the Cross Country is concerned, we have already opined in H.Sathish Kumar and others vs. The Chairman / Director General of Police, Tamilnadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, Chennai and another, in W.P.No.26090 to 26092 of 2015 vide order dated 15.10.2015 that it will not form a part of the events for which benefits of sports category has to be given in view of Clause 7 (iii), which has specified the events. 3.Learned counsel for the petitioner also seeks to contend that the petitioner ran a 800 metre race in the athletic meet. However, there is no certificate to this effect specifying that the petitioner had run that event. It is only mentioning his participation in the athletic meet held during 2009-2010. 4.In view of the aforesaid reason, we are not inclined to entertain the petition.

5.Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
