ORDER

The revision petitioner is the landlord/ plaintiff, aged about 60 years, and a senior citizen. in OS.No.182 of 2022 on the file of the Sub Court, Thiruvallur, filed for recovery of possession. Though the suit was institution in the year 2022, the respondent /defendant filed the written statement only on 08.01.2024 after a delay of more than one year which was condoned by the trial court, thereafter the matter was repeatedly adjourned for framing of issues and issues were framed only on 01.11.2025 resulting in substantial delay at the preliminary stage, and even thereafter when the suit was posted for trial and cross examination on 23.3.2026 the same was adjourned on 22.06.2026 without progress.

2. Considering the age of the petitioner and the need for expeditious adjudication, this Court is inclined to issue appropriate directions. Accordingly, the trial Court is directed to dispose of the suit as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this civil revision petition stands disposed off. No costs.
