ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to release the sale deed dated 06.01.2025, which according to the petitioner was registered

by the second respondent through doc. No.R/Kundrathur/Book-1/211/2025.

2. According to the petitioner, eventhough the sale deed was presented for registration as early as on 06.01.2025, till date, the same has not been released by the second respondent to the petitioner. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's contentions in this writ petition. However, the second respondent will have to either release the sale deed dated 06.01.2025 presented by the petitioner for registration or refuse to release the said document by assigning reasons.

3. Mr. P. Harish, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and would submit, on instructions, that the second respondent shall take a final decision with regard to the release of the sale deed presented by the petitioner for registration within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. He would also submit that, in case, the second respondent decides not to release the sale deed presented by the petitioner, the second respondent shall assign reasons for the same, by passing an order.

4. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to take a final decision as to whether the sale deed dated 06.01.2025 can be released to the petitioner or not within a period of two weeks from the date of

receipt of a copy of this order.

5. In case, the second respondent refuses to release the sale deed dated 06.01.2025 presented by the petitioner for registration, the second respondent shall pass a speaking order, as to why the sale deed cannot be returned to the petitioner.

6. With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
