The Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is filed by the petitioner/wife in I.D.O.P.No.286 of 2017, which is filed by the respondent/husband under Section 10(i)(x) of the Indian Divorce Act for divorce, before the Principal District Judge, Tiruvallur.

2. The petitioner/wife has stated in the affidavit that she is residing with her parents along with her child in Madipakkam, Chennai. She has also expressed difficulty to travel along with her child to Tiruvallur for each hearing. Hence, sought for transfer of the I.D.O.P. to the Family Court, Chennai.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondent. The learned counsel for the respondent/husband has filed his counter. However, he has got no serious objection for the transfer.

4. As both the parties are living within Chennai, considering the convenience of the petitioner/wife, this Court https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

feels it appropriate to transfer I.D.O.P.No.286 of 2017 from the file of Principal District Court, Tiruvallur to the file of Principal Family Court, Chennai.

5. Accordingly, the Transfer Civil Miscellaneous petition is allowed and I.D.O.P.No.286 of 2017, pending on the file of Principal District Court, Tiruvallur is transferred to the file of Principal Family Court, Chennai. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
