O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider his objection for construction of new drainage canal by the 2nd respondent from Kallavi Road, Thirunanam House Culvert and through Babu Sivakumar house to Muniappan Kovil and Vengadathampatti Road, dated 03.08.2016.

2. Mr. K. Thiruvengadam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given his representation as early as on 03.08.2016 giving objection for construction of new drainage canal, the 2nd respondent has not considered the same yet.

Pleader, appearing for the respondents, submitted that if the 2nd respondent had not constructed the new drainage canal, the 2nd respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's objection dated 03.08.2016.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's objection dated 03.08.2016, for the construction of new drainage canal, if the canal has not yet been constructed by the 2nd respondent. With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
