COMON ORDER The relief sought for in the present writ petitions is to direct the respondents to disburse the enhanced compensation as per the petitioners' application under section 28-A of the compensation awarded L.A.O.P.Nos. 108 to 116 of 1989 dated 15.09.1995 by the learned Sub- Judge, Dharmapuri.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the respondents, based on the written instructions given by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Krishnagiri, made a submission that the application submitted by the writ petitioners, seeking enhancement of compensation are under active consideration. The third respondent-Revenue Divisional Officer/ Land Acquisition Officer has to conduct an inquiry for the purpose of deciding the issues. Appropriate orders on the claim of the petitioners are yet to be decided under Section 28(A) (2) of the Act and therefore, the writ petitions are premature.
3. In view of the fact that the third respondent is in the process of considering the claims of the writ petitioners for enhancement of 8/10
compensation, the petitioners are at liberty to approach the third respondent. On such approach, the third respondent is directed to complete the inquiry as expeditiously as possible and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. Accordingly the writ petitions stand disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 19.09.2023 Index : Yes Speaking Order (sha) To
