ORDER

The Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent herein for willful disobedience and for non-compliance of the order made in W.P.No.33587 of 2024 dated 19.11.2024.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 19.11.2024 in W.P.No.33587 of 2024, the representation of the petitioner dated 21.02.2023 has been forward to the Government on 08.01.2025 by the respondent, pursuant to which, a sum of Rs.7,03,659/- has been released towards Earned Leave surrender for 183 days and Rs.2,71,354/- has been granted towards leave salary for 71 days for the period from 01.02.2023 to 12.04.2023. However, no decision has been taken by the Government with regard to the payment of gratuity and unearned leave on private affairs. He further submit that as and when the decision is taken by the Government, balance amount, if any, would also be settled. Hence, he would submit that the order of this Court has been duly complied with.

3. Since the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.02.2023 has been forwarded to the Government and orders have also been passed, partially settling the amount in favour of the petitioner, I find that the order of this Court, dated 19.11.2024, has been complied with. Accordingly, the Contempt petition is closed. No costs. 2/4
