By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the respondents.

The writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to provide separate domestic electricity service connection to the petitioner's residential property situated at No. 214/B Thiruvalluvar Nagar Thiruvur Sevvapet 602 025 Thiruvallur District in her name.

The case of the petitioner is that the property in survey No.214/B, Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Thiruvur, Sevvapet 602 025 Thiruvallur District had been in continuous possession and enjoyment of the petitioner. Initially a small hut was put up in that area and due to damage of the hut, she has put up a permanent structure.

The petitioner would claim that she is entitled to get electricity service connection for her property and therefore, she submitted her application on 10-03-2016 along with necessary documents and also made a representation to the respondents to provide domestic electricity service connection. It is further claimed that such electricity service connection was provided to the neighbouring properties. However, in respect of the petitioner, her claim was not considered by the respondents and hence, the present writ petition is filed.

Mr. Rameshwar, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents.

Considering the limited prayer sought for in the petition and without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10-03-2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
