ORDER
(Judgment of the Court was delivered by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner seeks to raise the issue of non-assignment of the lands acquired under the Tamil Nadu Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1961. In that process, one of the example given is of the lands located in S.No.217/2, 217/5, 422/14, 188/6, 209/3, 209/6, 215, 192/3, 208/3 of Vengal 'A' and 'B' Revenue Villages situated in Tiruvallur Taluk and District.
2. When the matter came up on 24.03.2010, the learned Government Pleader had taken time to obtain instructions. Writ petition was admitted on 21.06.2010. But, thereafter, there has been no listing.
3. We find that no counter-affidavit has been filed.
4. The learned Government Pleader, however, states that regular Revenue Divisional Officer concerned is available, who has to pass the relevant orders. There are stated to be 79 Revenue Divisional Officers all over the State and thus, it is stated that there would be no delay on this aspect and necessary orders in accordance with law will be passed within three (3) months from today.
5. The aforesaid statement is taken on record and the writ petition, stands, disposed of. No costs. Consequently, M.P.No.1 of 2010 is closed.
