This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report registered in Crime No.398 of 2021 dated 6/11/2021 on the file of the first respondent Police, for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294 (b), 323, 324, 506 (ii) of the Indian Penal Code read with Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prevention of Harassment of Women Act.

2. Heard Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Public Prosecutor for the first respondent. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

3. On a perusal of the First Information Report, the allegations levelled against the accused requires proper investigation. In such a view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to entertain this Criminal Original Petition.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition No.7035 of 2022 is closed.
